Halloween Costume

It seems that we're in Texas once a month...now that we've got the new ranch.

We went to a private Halloween party, and won first prize with our costume, "The Elusive Venus Butterfly and Brave Captor":





This is a fun costume, but for me the challenge is that I have (1) carry the silly butterfly net all night, and (2) stay close to
Dee, because otherwise people kept asking me if I was supposed to be some kind of boy scout.

And we'll be back in just four weeks for the Austin Rope Symposium; we couldn't miss it, as we know 6 of the 8 onsite presenters: Lew, Bridgett passionandsoul, Zamil, David Lawrence, Steve Indands and lochai. What a great bunch of people. We can't wait to meet the other two presenters, Ellie the Nomand and Mark of DV8House.

Our biggest problem is that Dee doesn't want to come back to Pittsburgh at the end of each trip, and I am finding it more and more difficult to work up the energy to drag her back.
